So what would Oprah be talking about, and why would I want to read her magazine? It’s not like I have a subscription myself but since we sell it here at the super duper library subscription service known as MagMall I might as well write a few more things about the lady my wife watches every day on TV.
“O” is a magazine that creates a place to go to kick back and relax. There aren’t any articles on how to apply the newest makeup craze, how to dress for your man in all the expensive ways, or how to know if your partner is cheating on you. You also won’t find all the celebrity gossip or poor-pitiful-me stories.
Why is my O magazine collection waterlogged? Because when it’s time to hide from everybody and relax in the tub, it’s my reading material of choice. When I’m battle-weary from the day, it’s the one magazine that says, no, proclaims: “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me!” It helps me rise above the negativity inherent in our do-too-much world and lifts me to a higher mental state.
