US Weekly Magazine, a once weekly periodical, covers Hollywood gossip, entertainment news and fashion trends in a sleek, well-organized magazine. A magazine subscription to US Weekly provides weekly doses all the celebrity happenings and latest movie, tv, music news to your door. You will often find this magazine in the stacks of your local public library or school library as well as a reception room or waiting room of a local business like a tire chain or national retailer.

True to its tabloid roots, US Weekly is first and foremost a star watcher magazine. However, unlike other publications, US Weekly is one of the most reliable and accurate sources for celebrity news. Often the first to break the latest stories, US Weekly generally uses credible sources. The magazine is appealing and easy to read, with a large number of candid photographs, as well as shots from recent fashion and entertainment events around the world. Their “Stars – They’re Just Like US!” section is a favorite, featuring candid snapshots of celebrities doing normal, everyday activities like walking their dog, heading to the store, or relaxing on the beach.

In addition to covering movie star lives and careers, US Weekly also reviews upcoming music and movie releases, as well as new tv shows. The magazine covers popular new releases in record making, film making and television, but focus on the star artists of the day, rather than an exhaustive, all-inclusive approach. Their reviews are written by people with like-minded tastes to their target readers, so their reviews are often in line with what their audience would enjoy. Their guide to upcoming tv events and shows is always up to date with the latest times and cable programming information. In terms of the latest fashion and style trends, US Weekly keeps its readers up to speed by keeping an eye on the hottest looks from designers around the world. Style guides will focus on clothing and accessories worn (or designed!) by the celebrities covered in the magazines glossy pages.

Additionally, makeup and other beauty products are also often reviewed, according to season and current trends. Best of all, they focus on high-style yet affordable fashion options, making trends more accessible to the average reader. Often, the magazine will compare something off the designer couture runways to an item that a reader could buy for a fraction of the price from a lower-end retailer.

This publication is not only a guilty pleasure, but an accurate source of entertainment news and fashion. Since the magazine covers so many different areas of interest, it is appealing to many different readers, both male and female, of a range of ages. Pleasant to read, full of pictures, and visually appealing, US Weekly is a magazine that many people will enjoy. It is in many ways similar to other magazine like Life and Style Weekly or People magazine from Time Warner publications. If you are looking to get a discount price on a subscription, look online with a magazine subscription service.

Subscribing to a magazine has become the preferred way of getting the magazine of your choice delivered at your home instead of picking up magazines at a newsstand. You can now get any magazine without venturing out from home. Almost all publications have their subscription services in place and this contributes a large chunk of their revenue. Subscription sales is the life-blood of those magazines which do not heavily rely upon advertising revenue. Even those magazines which rely upon advertising, use a subscription strategy to increase circulation, that in turn attracts advertisers.

There are many Portals which facilitate the subscription services. These Portals are so convenient that almost any magazine of any category of any kind are listed there and can be subscribed online. Anyone from any part of the world can access these portals and avail the subscription services of his choice. There are various means which are applied to make subscription more and more compelling and attractive. Discount Coupons, redeemable at a later date is a very old practice,so new features are being added to it. The world has become a virtual global village and the physical or geographical boundaries has become irrelevant in this Internet age.

Publishers are experimenting with innovative ideas nowadays to reach out to new potential readers. Newsstands sales are no longer viable to the publications which target to reach out to every part of the world. Even the magazines with a localised content for a specific country are trying various subscription options as an effective marketing tool. There is competition among Publishers to make their subscription services more attractive than others. Not only heavy discounts are offered but also various lucky draws coupled with gift items are given to make the subscription offer compelling. These are also a very effective measures to retain the existing subscribers.

There is an inherent advantage with the subscription services over the traditional news stand sales methods. It allows the publishers to save approximately forty percent cost which are distributed among the distributes and retailers in the conventional news stands sale format. Contrary to the general perception that the magazine subscriptions would be affected due to the ever increasing popularity of Blogs and Online Journals, the circulation of magazines with relevant and original content has increased significantly. There are various Magazines, especially academic Journals which targets libraries of all kinds - public, private, educational and institutional. Glossy magazines primarily target reception areas where people flick through them. The content of these kinds of magazines are lighter in nature.

Now its very easy to get any magazine’s subscription with the click of a mouse in a relatively less developed country also. Any person can avail this service in any part of the world. It is great to notice that many publishers fulfil their social responsibilities and offer heavy discount to their students readers. In a country like India with a huge literate population, subscribing to various prestigious magazines published from USA has become a norm. These were non-existent a decade earlier. Online Subscription services has transformed the whole scenario now.

The magazine House Beautiful could never be said to be down-to-earth, but sometimes “heavenly” is a better accolade. When it comes to feeding our nesting urge with larger than life possibilities, and awakening our imaginations with new trends, classic old ideas, and more, House Beautiful fits the bill.  As in most home and garden magazines, the photography is fresh and elegant. Often even the advertisements contain great or just plain amusing decorating ideas, such as the star-and-moon painted staircase advertising Sherwin-Williams paints in past issue. Columns full of vibrant ideas and valuable information include “Style Beat,” “News,” which illustrated and discussed some contemporary Native American art that I’ll try to see, and “Scrapbook,” which featured clever ideas using paint (also in the same issue).

A Thoughts of Home” in a later issue tells of a woman’s need to move away from a historic, registered house because of divorce, and another talks of abandoned houses and their pull on the imagination. Every single one is a tribute to the editor of this feature, and never are emotions overwrought or cheap. Each story is honest, with true-life situations, and all beautifully written.

The July 2007 issue featured nine idea-filled kitchens, and an article on how to decorate using color with confidence, both of which I found helpful. My rooms may never look as elegant as House Beautiful’s, but they do an excellent job of showcasing fine traditional or avant-garde design and decorating ideas. You may not have their budget, but they’re not so far out of touch they you can’t emulate their ideas. For example, although I don’t have their wonderful assortment of picnic baskets to arrange as they did them in the Kitchen issue, their picture gave me an idea for arranging my own extensive basket collection in a simpler, homey way.

And it looks excellent, now, stacked with separators on a corner of their kitchen instead of piled here and there with no rhyme or reason.  House Beautiful seems to have recognized the cozier, homier look most Americans prefer, and are often including an almost country look in an occasional review. If you are trying to locate a current copy in a local public or school library, you may not have much difficulty. It is a common magazine in waiting rooms and reception areas because it is so univerally loved. We have no problem subscriptions through our magazine subscription service - whether it is for a new, renewal or even gift subscription - and it is no surprise. that’s all. Maybe it’s because we offer cheap discount prices or maybe it is just what it is.

In the new issue of Better Homes and Gardens, there is a really great article on how to decorate your home in a simplified matter.  I’m just really happy that my subscription started right when I was about to start redecorating my twenty-year old home!  One of the pointers that I was given in the newest issue (which, by the way, is also and always available online), is to decorate using white (which is a great way to avoid color decisions!).

We tried this in both of my children’s bedrooms and in the master bedroom and we are all happy as pie with the results.  I have never seen my wife happier with my antics thanks to my omniscient decision!

The newest issue of Better Homes and Gardens also advised my family that the color blue is one of the best bets to combine with white and that is exactly what we decided to do once we had the painters start questioning us as to what color plan is the best for the living room.  The inside porch that was just completed also has its own unique color and design.  We decided to go with more of an “autumn” outlook with the porch and, once it was completed, it gave me a sense of déjà vu – almost as if I had dreamt about the completion of it before it was finished.

The extra guest bedroom that we had installed on the third floor has leaf-print wallpaper throughout.  Even the bed sheets and bed cover have the same pattern and colors.  The dining room on the first floor was done exclusively in brown, silver and crystal.  I can’t wait for my younger brother and his family to visit so that they can check out how beautiful it turned out.  He was definitely one of the persons that influenced me in finishing up our house and for that I am honored!

As always, if you work for a company or a business and you want a magazine subscription service to consolidate all your subscriptions, give us a shout. we have a nice, clean online interface to manage all your new, renewal and gift subscriptions. it is a lot of fun writing these postings on home magazines because we get to cover related titles like Fine Homebuilding, yet another house improvement classic.

Ciao!

Better Homes & Garden magazine

Usually, Better Homes & Garden Magazine will give the reader home improvement advice, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the newest issue (which is also available online) has an amazing article on extremely delicious drinks for the summer that are also good for you. My favorite is the sparkling Red and Green Tea that leaves you nutritiously satisfied and is also a fantastic source of vitamins and protein for those really hot summer days.

My other favorite drink that’s featured on the online edition is the ever-satisfying Strawberry Iced Tea that tastes even better when unsweetened berries are added to the mix. Just imagine lounging in your backyard after a long day of re-tiling your kitchen floor and drinking this ever-amazing tasty liquid. You can just imagine the satisfaction coming at you, can’t you? I’m just glad that my subscription to this magazine started right on time for the summer!

My wife and older children have been helping me out with both ideas and constructive criticism when it comes to re-doing parts of the house. I usually reward my children with some delicious and alcohol-free Apricot-Mint Tea which is an all time favorite for them. My wife prefers the (also non-alcoholic) Cranberry-Ginseng Tea after she’s finished giving me more ideas on the window pane color or color of the drapes that we are putting in the dining room. I’ve covered great tips like this in other home magazine related postings like Fine Homebuilding.

When it’s really hot and I noticed that my family has been extra helpful in fixing up the house or redecorating certain areas of the living room/bedrooms, I give them an even more special extra treat – Anise Coffee and Ice Cream – which includes beautiful iceberg-like pieces of vanilla ice cream which melt incredibly when hot chocolate is poured into it. It’s the most devilish taste of all in my book! Better Homes and Garden magazine is a great addition to anyone’s library. Whether you want to put in your waiting room for patients, your reception area for clients or right in your living room on a coffee table, you can’t go wrong ordering a subscription. And of course, you saved off the newsstand price, so that can’t hurt either.

home magazine

In one of the most recent issues of Home Magazine, “The Home Team” has been featured for doing a screen porch project. As they exclaim proudly on their site, “THey’ve done it again and transformed an underutilized and inhospitable screen porch into an attractive arena for social gatherings.

With a tiny café table and a few potted plants, the 10-by-30-foot space was strictly no frills. Over the course of several days, editor-in-chief Donna Sapolin (center), flanked by stylist Stephen Antonson (left), and deputy articles editor Nicole Sforza, brought the space to life. The trio built a roomy, picnic-style table and matching benches; added a serving console and extra seating; and covered the windows looking into the interior rooms with simple drapery panels. Now, this outdoor oasis is a delightful destination.

When you read periodicals like Home magazine or even more action packed titles like Fine Homebuilding Magazine you really get a good cross section of what home type magazines are all about. It’s interesting that such a general interest publisher like Hachette Filipacchi Magazines, Inc. would put out such a good title, but they did it. If you are looking to subscribe you can check your local public library or even a school library. We offer gift subscriptions with free gift cards through our online magazine subscription service. There are business and corporate discounts too if you want to include this title in a consolidated magazine subscription order.

I was reading one of the newest blogs on the Fine Homebuilding Magazine website and was quite amazed regarding the completion of The Concept House. It took months of work, but it was well worth it. There were quite a lot of people that attended the special presentations and tours (which included college architectural students, the local green building council, inspectors, energy company employees and, of course, neighbors who are always curious about the “to-do” involved in this!).

Some of the visitors were amazed that they had installed recycled rugs (which are turned into brand new rugs that look just like new ones!) and were amazed at the quality of them, as well! One visitor really enjoyed the movable walls (just like the old film noir and horror movies) and it almost made us feel as if we were children as we continued exploring some of the least traveled areas in this house! I don’t doubt how surprised some of the visitors were that some of the materials within the house were recycled, but what really amazed them was the high quality of the recycled materials therein!

There were five different technologies that were used for the very first time in this house and they included some panelized foundations and floors; what some people call “the utility core concept,”; the incredibly systematized green building approach; some air admittance valves and the engineered plumbing and last, but not least some natural finishes were applied, including linoleum and clay. So much wonderful stuff that will be mentioned in the next couple of upcoming blogs, of course! All of this, of course, is due to reading and understanding Fine Homebuilding Magazine.

What else can I say? Stay tuned! In the newest issue of Fine Homebuilding Magazine, there is a fantastic article on improving water pressure in a newly built home (or even in a much older home, as well). The article explains the different methods involved in doing this, including adding a water softener and iron filter, but sometimes this can also decrease the water pressure. Sometimes the pipes in the house are old and corroded due to the accumulation of iron deposits within the pipes themselves.

I’m sure that there are a lot of businesses and corporations that would just love to order a subscription to this incredible magazine since it is one of the most highly sought after publications for those of you that love to fix the water pressure in either your new home or on the old home that you purchased. If you have a public library nearby or even a school library, even if you live in a rural area, magazines about home improvement and design like Architectural Record Magazine will still help you in fixing the water pressure problem in your household. Isn’t that a blast, gang? So, remember to order this amazing magazine through your favorite neighborhood magazine subscription agency. Trust me, it will leave you smiling!

There is also another article in the newest edition of Fine Homebuilding that explains in step-by-step instructions how to adjust a troublesome pressure switch and how to also install a booster pump that will help increase the water pressure at your home. I tried it myself and found out that it increased the water pressure in my home between fifty and seventy pounds (whereas before it was only between thirty and fifty pounds). Quite a dramatic change and it left me very pleased! It’s kind of strange to see the crossover with magazines like Popular Mechanics but it is to be expected.

If you are looking for a cheap discount subscription, the price currently through our magazine subscription service is just $43.00. Send us feedback if this blog posting helps you manage your home.
