.Find a great spot in your yard. Avoid areas under trees where leaves will fall into the pond. Another great idea is to place your cheap pond in an area where you can see it from the windows inside, or from your deck or patio.

You can also usually find these in great shapes that will make your pond very pretty. I have seen them come in shapes such as stars, fish or even seashells!

.Spray paint the entire pool black and let it dry overnight.
.Add in a pump and filter to keep things flowing so the water does not go stagnant. Although it is not 100% necessary, your fish will be much happier.
.The next step in learning how to build a pond is to add a few heavy rocks around the edges of the pool. Then you can add gravel if you're planning on putting plants in the pond.
.Now all you need to do is fill the pond up with water. You are finished! You just completed a pond and saved money at the same time. It's not hard to build a pond that's cheap and beautiful.
