Need some scrapbooking organization?
Scrapbooking is a lot of fun, but before you realize it you have piles and piles of materials that don't really have a place of their own. Well you will finally have a place to put everything because this article is going to show you how to make your own scrapbooking organizer.
Soon you will be able to keep all those fun supplies and materials in one place.
What you will need:
- A medium sized shelf that you can devote entirely to your scrapbooking. (You can find this at a home decorating store or an office supply store.)
- 4 or 5 paper racks. The ones that lay down and hold your documents or paper flat without folding. (You can find these at office supply stores.)
- Pick up some sturdy bins or baskets that can fit on your shelf.
- Polaroid camera.
- Permanent markers.
- Small Ziploc bags for stickers, beads, etc.
- Hot glue gun.
Now it is time to put it all together:
1. To begin you want to find the perfect spot for your scrapbooking shelf. A few great places would be the basement, storage room or even your home office.
2. Set up your shelf in it's designated area, then get all of your other supplies ready in a good working location. Be sure to have your scrapbooking supplies available as well.
3. Designate a bin or basket to each item you wish it to hold. For example, if you have 5 bins, use one for markers, pens, glue sticks, crayons, paints, and stamps. Include other things that are along these lines. You can use more bins for stencils, paper, templates and the like.
Your last bin should be named miscellaneous for things that don't really go in any of the other bins.
4. Now, assemble every item that will be placed in one particular scrapbooking organizer bin. Use the Polaroid camera to take a picture of the supplies. Use the hot glue gun to glue the picture to the font of the bins. This a nice way to make a photo label. You can also write on the bin with your markers if you wish.
5. Put all your scrapbooking paper in the paper racks. That way you will always have the right paper when you need it.
6. Now simply place the bins up on the shelf and you are ready to go. Voila!
