Tired of being unorganized in your scrapbooking?
We all love to scrapbook, but as time goes on we collect more and more supplies and don't have a place to put them. Well now is the time to get your scrapbooking organized by making your own scrapbooking organizer.
Now you will know where everything is because it will be set up and organized nicely.
Materials Required:
- A nice shelf you can clear out just for your scrapbooking space. If you don't already have a shelf, you can pick one up at any office supply store.
- 4 or 5 paper racks. The ones that lay down and hold your documents or paper flat without folding. (You can find these at office supply stores.)
- Several medium sized bins or baskets that will fit perfectly on your shelf. (You should be able to find these at any home design store, or office supplies store.)
- Polaroid camera.
- Permanent markers.
- Some freezer bags to keep the beads, stickers and other supplies in.
- Hot glue gun.
How to set it up:
1. The first thing you will want to do is find a great place in your home to keep your scrapbooking organizer shelf at. A few great places would be the basement, storage room or even your home office.
2. Set up your shelf in it's designated area, then get all of your other supplies ready in a good working location. Be sure to have your scrapbooking supplies available as well.
3. Label each bin for the types of materials it will hold. For example, if you have 5 bins, use one for markers, pens, glue sticks, crayons, paints, and stamps. Create a bin for every category of supplies. You can use another bin for ribbons, lace, leather, paper flowers, and things like this.
Your last bin should be named miscellaneous for things that don't really go in any of the other bins.
4. Now it is time to put every scrapbook supply in its matching bin. Use the Polaroid camera to take a picture of the supplies. Use the hot glue gun to glue the picture to the font of the bins. This a nice way to make a photo label. If you don't have a camera, you can always just make a label out of markers.
5. Put all your scrapbooking paper in the paper racks. That way you will always have the right paper when you need it.
6. Now, place your scrapbooking organizer bins and paper racks on your shelf where you wish them to be. Voila!
