'How to get my ex boyfriend back' Versus 'Healing a broken heart'

by Robert Sinclair

Love is on everybody's mind. I sometimes get the impression that everything evolves around it. Every 3rd T.V channel will have something on, that discusses romance. Right around the corner is the next love series like the O.C. Even the history channel will talk about some queens medieval affair. We see the same trend on Amazon. You can find a lot of titles that promise advice on how to get over an ex or even how to get your ex boyfriend back. Entertainment publications, talk about about celebrities. Almost all of those people became famous after taking part in a romantic film.

But this obsession with the topic has been there for centuries and I don't think it will change any time soon.

Please don't think I'm against it. On the contrary I'm all for love and think people should talk about it more, but in a slightly different form. Especially in countries like Canada and Russia. Because their number of citizens is slowly going down. Large number of people in those countries are brainwashed into believing that money is the most important thing. Media praises money and riches and pays less attention to love. Don't get me wrong, 'romantic' shows still get a lot of air time there too. Too bad that many of these shows display romance in a negative light. Breakups and unfaithful lovers are put on the spot light, while a simple happy family is considered boring and stays in the background. Same goes for books that give you the latest advice on how to dump someone or how to get over being dumped. Titles that talk about how to get your ex boyfriend back are rare and far between. I personally believe that books like that should be more popular than the defeatist attitude ones.

In certain parts of the country 1 out of 3 couples divorces after a mere 2 years of marriage. When will it end? Those are mind blowing statistics! Did people stop trying to fix their problems and simply abandon ship? May be they should stick around and work out the differences instead. Even if one of the union members is cheating, doesn't mean the couple has to breakup. There must be a reason for this infidelity. Could it have been avoided if the husband was more attentive? Could this be a one time thing, that can be prevented if the couple establishes a better spiritual connection? Big things can be accomplished with minor tweaks. Many estranged women say that they left because they weren't getting any acknowledgment.

On that account, I suggest that we cherish each other. Let's look beyond things that differentiate us and concentrate on things that unite us. Let's be tolerant to each other. Let's choose love instead of hate. For we shall pass here but once.
