Eliminating Acne for a Big Day

by Sara Kitch

Pimples are always showing up right before a special occasion. Everyone wants to look their best, especially on an important occasion. For this reason, preventing any sort of skin problem is very important.

However, avoiding the appearance of a pimple or mild acne isn't always feasible. There is good news, nevertheless, because there are home remedies that can treat skin blemishes quickly. First, we must understand some of the basic causes for breakouts and then, see what we can do to deal with them.

The Causes of Acne Breakouts

Acne is basically due to the clogging of pores that lead to inflamed and non-inflamed lesions. So what leads to clogged pores? Many things can lead to clogged pores.

The basic answer is genetics. If your parents had acne, you probably will, too. In addition, factors such as stress, sun exposure, seasonal changes and climate can aggravate existing acne inflammation. Tests have shown that working women are the most prone to acne breakouts because they lead high stress lives and tend to use more pore-clogging makeup.

Natural Acne Treatment

Drug stores offer a wide range of OTC drugs for the treatment of acne problems. However, do not sell the natural treatment of acne short. These are a few alternatives.

Remedy 1: The Cucumber Cure

Grate a cucumber an apply over your face, eyes and neck for 15-20 minutes. Cucumber is a good tonic for your skin. Its regular use prevents pimples and blackheads.

Remedy 2: The Aspirin Cure

A simple remedy for pimples is aspirin. By adding a couple of drops of water to a tablet of aspirin, turn it into a paste and apply it to the affected area. Leave the paste on the lesion for a couple of hours to dry out the pimple and reduce swelling and redness.

Remedy 3: The Orange Peel Cure

Orange peels seem to be very effective in the treatment of acne. Pound the peel against a rough surface (a mortar or a stone) with a little bit of water and apply to the affected areas.

Do not forget that severe acne should be treated by a professional. Home remedies are effective against mild acne or pimple. However, chronic acne is a serious condition and must be treated as such.

Acne home remedies are a reliable way to deal with acne causes, occasional outbreaks and acne inflammation. They will help minimize the appearance and extent of the blemishes and keep your skin healthy. Try out a natural acne treatment and see which one works best for you.
