Getting rid of Acne Scars and Blemishes Naturally
Many people are in search of natural methods to combat acne scars and other marks left by acne. Fortunately, there are some methods that can be used to eradicate these unsightly blemishes left behind by acne.
One of the most positive aspects about using natural home remedies is their low cost since most of the ingredients you need are probably already in your kitchen. Home remedies, however, do have a downside, especially the time it takes to notice the effects and the variation of the results from person to person. But, be patient and consistent with any natural home remedy.
Before you begin a routine that includes a natural home remedy for acne scars and marks, wash your face with warm water. It is advisable to test the natural product on a small patch of skin to make sure that it does not produce an allergic reaction or irritation. Also keep in mind that all natural skin remedies can be diluted with a small amount of water to produce a gentler version.
Garlic
Garlic is considered a wonder food for its many health properties. It has also been used in the treatment of acne scars and marks left by pimples. Since garlic can produce a stinging sensation, make sure to rinse it off immediately if it starts burning.
To use the garlic, finely grate one clove of garlic and mix it with two tablespoons of water. Apply the paste directly to the area and massage carefully. The garlic will exfoliate the skin and remove a layer of scar tissue, so do not leave it on for more than five minutes.
Always apply aloe vera on your skin right after this treatment, because the garlic can irritate your skin. Aloe vera will rehydrate your skin and protect it without causing further irritation.
Lemons and Tomatoes
Both lemons and tomatoes contain high amounts of citric acid which has been shown to have excellent cleansing and rejuvenating properties. For years, they have been used in natural skin treatments. Tomatoes, in particular, are known to inhibit the production of sebum because of their high Vitamin A content.
When you use lemon juice, just squeeze a tablespoon of juice. Using a cotton ball, apply the lemon juice directly to the affected area. Leave it on for about ten minutes and clean the area with a mild cleanser.
Apply the tomato juice the same way you would apply the lemon juice. Remember to rinse after 10 minutes.
It always pays to use fresh natural products instead of the canned versions. Their canned versions contain preservatives and additives that might be harmful to your skin or might inhibit the full effect of the natural components.
We have mentioned some natural and inexpensive ways to deal with acne scarring, but there are others. Remember that the results from natural scar treatment can differ greatly from person to person. Be patient and you will see how your mild acne scars and marks respond favorably to natural home remedies.
